ETH SPOOLING & TENSIONING SERVICES
Egersund Herøy have multiple spoolers and tensioners in different sizes and capabilities. Spoolers range from 8T capability, 20T, 30T all the way up to our “Pink Lady” with a capacity to hold reels with weight up to 300T (and more). We also have tensioners ranging from 15T up to 50T.

Our fully electric 300T Spooler, Pink Lady, delivers a pulling force of 25T across all layers for reels up to 5 meters in diameter (and up to 7 meters in width). The system is uniquely user-friendly, allowing a single operator to control the entire process via wireless remote control. Even repositioning the support-leg can be done with the push of a button.
Our electric Tensioner, Big Mama, is remarkably compact in relation to its pulling capacity. Tensioning wire ropes and cables up to 135 mm in diameter with a pre-tension force of 50T is no issue. Its control system is based on the same foundation as the Spooler, enabling one operator to operate both machines simultaneously in practice.
